How much do LPAs cost?
Stephen Pett was very helpful and professional in helping us make our decision on asking about Power of Attorney, with his help we are going ahead with both Financial and Health Power of Attorney, would highly recommend Stephen. Maureen Summers
If you DIY, then there are two costs:
- The registration fees – currently £82 each plus £41 resubmission fee if you correct a mistake quickly.
- The more important cost is the the potential loss of VALUE and POWER your LPAs could give. There are all sorts of nuances that most people will never consider. By all means go for the relatively cheap option if you have the patience to wade through 114 page but not the finanaces to get out expert help – but do look at our prices before you rush off and do that! Links to the “free” version are below our prices.
Professionally prepared LPAs.
I have been involved in preparing Powers of Attorney since the last century when the key one was the Enduring Power of Attorney which covered only finance but didn’t have to be registered until you had “lost mental capacity” – then if there was a mistake, it would be rejected.

These are designed to protect the business and staff should an owner or director be unable to act. WIll the bills and employees get paid?
Depending on the circumstances and work needed (self-employed clients are not usually more complex, but directors or partners are), they may cost more than a typical domestic one.
